Alternative Energy Seminar At National Library
Keep forgetting to blog about the pervious days... ahdee guess that's gotta do with memory loss.. lol... so well.. skip straight to today's event ba...
Yups... As you all would have guessed... ahdee attended a alternative energy talk at the national library today... Hmmm quite interesting talk as ahdee learns more about the topic from the different panel of speakers.. comprising of a venture capitalist, one company de someone dealing with biomass, 3 profs from nus... which two are from Mechanical Engineering... Hmmm.... It appears they have all been dealing with the alternative energy for a very long time.
For those who are not sure what alternative energy is by now..... Hei.. wake up..... Lol... its about energy that replace the current diesel oil and other types of natural resources that pollutes the Earth. Alternative energy includes Geothermal, wind energy, solar energy, hydro and so many many more.
What ahdee thinks is that it is still currently too expensive for a normal household to convert to using alternative energy due to economic and space limitations of singapore. However, that doesn't mean that you can't do anything to help solve the pollution problem... Simply by consuming lesser of the conventional energy... you save your money.. as well as help save the world... Isn't that cool?????
Perhaps... ahdee should try converting my computer to be powered by solar power... or maybe recycle my mummy's cooking oil to provide biofuel for electricity.... lol.... hmmm wait u only see me blogging on sunny days le... lol... but who knows... in the near future.. that might be really possible.
Well.. enough of the talk on alternative energy..... ahdee and his friends, juebin, xiangyu and joyce went to eat afterwards at a hawker centre near Sim Lim Square de nearby Mac... Interesting thing that happened was that a old uncle came and started begging money from us.. asking us to give him $1 dollar cos he haven eaten for 5 days.... (which is highly impossible) anyway ... he chose to "attack" at joyce.. maybe seeing her as the demure girl, but well he barked up the wrong tree man... lol... the way he was begging seems like he wants to just take the money that was on the table... From how the hawker stall auntie kept looking over and shaking her hand.. it appears the uncle is a regular in those areas.... Well... ahdee think he was over doing it and by bugging a lady for so long and the attitude he used... well... *shrugs*
Hmmm it might sound like bullying an elderly but as singapore's grey population increases.. are these things bound to happen more and more often. Hmmm ahdee heard from his senior that there is this auntie selling tissue at the usual $1... but when my senior gives her $2 bucks and ask her to keep the change, she refused.. insisting that its only $1 .. Now.. this is really working hard for her own money... not saying that those who are begging are wrong.. but your life lies in your own hands... and how you wanna live it is totally up to you.... They should learn from those street performers who does honestly living to gain recognition from the public...
